We are committed to ensuring our organization’s compliance by incorporating accessibility legislation into our policies, procedures, equipment requirements, training, and best practices. We will review these policies and practices annually, as organizational changes occur, or in anticipation of compliance deadlines. Customer Service
We are committed to engaging with our customers and guest in a respectful manner and to making all reasonable efforts to accommodate the communication and access needs of our customers and guests with disabilities. This includes communicating in a manner that takes into account the needs of persons with disabilities, and enabling the use of assistive devises and service animals in our public spaces.
Employee Training and Awareness
Our employees receive instruction on our policies and procedures to support the principles and objectives of the AODA, including instruction on our standards and how to provide service to persons with disabilities.
Recruitment and Employment
On request, we will make every reasonable effort to accommodate the needs of persons with disabilities, to enable otherwise capable persons to participate equally in the hiring process and our workplace, except in circumstances that create undue hardship.
Website Accessibility
We want everyone who visits the Vrancor website to feel welcome and find the experience rewarding. Vrancor is committed to the goals set out in the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005, and its regulations. The Integrated Accessibility Standard Regulation calls for all new websites for organizations with more than 50 employees to comply with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 AA. Vrancor website has been designed and tested to comply with this requirement.
Multi-Year Plan
Since the AODA was introduced, we have maintained a multi-year plan to track our progress with implementation of accessibility requirements applicable to our activities and services. Annually, we review our policy and procedures.
